A non-sectarian, nonprofit providing shelter, supportive housing, counseling and skill, academic and employment training to poor and homeless adults and families. Includes programs, newsletter, employment opportunities, resale store and links.

Greater Chicago Food Depository
Non-profit food bank providing food for hungry people in the whole of Cook County. Part of the America's Second Harvest network.

Tutor/Mentor Connection (T/MC)
A Cabrini-Green based program for teens and leaders of this city-wide network of after-school tutor/mentor programs.

Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO)
Offers low-income residents of the Uptown community social, educational and economic development programs, including job training and creation, affordable housing, feeding and sheltering the homeless.

Neighborhood Writing Alliance / Journal of Ordinary Thought
Community-based program that hosts writing workshops in public spaces in the inner-city. NWA offers multiple locations for programs, including two Spanish-language workshops, magazine subscriptions, news, and contacts.

Emergency Fund for Needy People
